I'm at the ripe old age of getting to be 65 and I find that I don't have the power that I had and that's not worth inviting people to spend their money." Are you enjoying your retirement? "Oh I really am." Do you still split your time between San Francisco and Tucson? "No. I leased my house out in Tucson. But I stop off in Tucson on my way to Mexico. It's a good pit stop on the way to Mexico. I love going to Mexico. I've been spending time in northern Mexico and I really love it." She could really belt those tunes! Linda has always been an honest straight-shooter who called it like it is. Kudos to her for stepping away before she couldn't perform up to her own high standards. Posts: 14676 Jul 5 11 10:52 PM Administrator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I did love her duet with Bette Midler on "Sisters" on Bette's tribute album to Rosemary Clooney. I'm so glad I got to see Linda in concert more than once. I also had the pleasure of seeing her at a benefit concert where she sang a duet with Rosemary Clooney (for the Betty Clooney Foundation). It's too bad they didn't record it. My favorite tour was the one she did with Aaron Neville and the Neville Brothers. I also took my Dad (who was a Mexicano music lover) to see her Canciones De Mi Padre show. It was fantastic! Posts: 2653 Jul 27 11 11:06 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I became a fan of hers about ten years ago, and went on a binge which I had to buy most of her CDs! I always enjoyed her music growing up in the 70s, when she was at her 'hottest' (and became the highest paid female recording artist by the mid-70s), but never invested in her music until a decade ago. Her hit "Long, Long Time" is one of those songs I wish Streisand could have recorded as well.
