Not to put a damper on this thought, but wouldn't a DVD of this performance this year be in direct competition with The Concert released earlier in the year?

No, I don't think so. A new DVD of the Vanguard show will be a perfect holiday stocking stuffer to go along with the re-launch of the LITA CD for Christmas
sales.

A lot of people like, If You Go Away. I don't like it. The rest of the performance was okay. I just wished Barbra would have done a lot of this when she
was at her vocal prime.

Does she totally crack up anyone but me at the end of "In The Wee Small Hours of the Morning" when she's sort of directing the spotlight to fade
out - and the face she makes? Priceless and SO Barbra. These clips are divine.... what a week this has been!!

What a beautiful performance! Barbra chose the perfect time of her life to sing in this style. I am especially taken with If You Go Away. So glad she
waited till this time in life to do this as her deeper register is much more appealing now than in her younger years. Bravo Barbra!!

I like the younger Barbra voice. But to each his own. I like high notes, belting, and crescendos from Barbra. Now when she starts adding volume to her singing,
her voice gets husky with a dry sound. Even the Newyork Times article stated that the high notes are no longer available to Barbra. But overall, the song
choices are great and she's putting out the best she can offer at this stage in her life.

Barbra has once again overcome the odds as the underdog for this level of comeback, breaking boundaries as she has since the beginning of her career!
Her performances are classic Streisand, doing what Barbra does best, interpreting classic songs in her own style using that still remarkable instrument. She even looks so beautiful, significant. Most importantly, Barbra has re-defined how to be relevant in the fickle music scene in her late 60s. Simply remarkable - this CD and DVD will further cement her status as on iconic legend!!!!!!!!!! I have watched the videos many times. I think everyone is feeling the same right now. The album is sensational and the VV gig vids are amazing. It really
captures the club feel and the intimate setting. Barbra is sooo close to the audience! The way it has been filmed surely suggests a DVD/Blu ray release. I hope
an announcement comes soon. It is so damn good and I have to agree with everyone that If You Go Away is simply amazing!
This is such a huge week in Barbra fanland and it is just such a shame that a dark cloud appeared over it when news of Matts site closing broke. Bronx |

by November at the very latest and there is simply not enough time for BJS to put together a DVD now.
She has other fish to fry...like Larry Kramer, for starters. lol |
